(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Carl R. Woods, of Lockwood, MO, departed this life on Sunday, October 25, 2020, in the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility at the age of 90.
He was born on February 17, 1930 in Dade County, MO to Charles Russell and Alma (Greer) Woods. Carl was united in marriage to Elsie Louise Newman on March 28, 1970 in Grandview, MO. He had worked as a truck driver, and also as a custodian for the Lockwood School District.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Alma Woods; his wife, Elsie Louise Woods; three brothers, Hershel Woods, Robert Woods, and Leon Woods; and three sisters, Zella Marie Woods, Helen Loreta Hall, and Viola Faye Pierce.
Survivors include one brother, Marvin Woods; two sisters, Myrtle Guinn and Gladys Nadine Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 in Lockwood Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to view and pay their respects on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, please be mindful of maintaining a social distance. Also, you are welcome to and, indeed, encouraged to wear face masks to protect yourselves and others.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
