Max Basye

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Max Christopher Basye, age 68, of Oronogo, MO, passed away on October 13, 2020, at his home, following a sudden illness.

Max was born on February 6, 1952 in Joplin the son of the late Robert H. and Frances (Teeter) Basye. Max served in the United States Navy.

Max loved hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. He had a passion for helping people experience the outdoors in the same way he loved it so much. He loved people and could talk to anyone. He loved sharing his love for Jesus with everyone he met. More than anything on earth, Max loved being with his family and especially his grandchildren. If his grandchildren were doing something fun, Max always wanted to be there with them. He was a wonderful “Papa”.
