Carl Morgan

Carl E. Morgan, age 79 of Diamond, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, while listening to the Kansas City Chiefs game with his daughter. He was born November 13, 1940, in Granby, Missouri, the son of the late Alva Edward and Edna Faye (Grieb) Morgan.

He was a lifelong resident of the area and retired from Missouri American Water after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, watching sports, and spending time with his grandchildren, who called him “Papa.”

He married Kay Smith on June 27, 1959 and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2012. 








Carl was also preceded in death by one brother, Bob Morgan and one sister, Kay Link.

Carl is survived by two sons, Tony Morgan and wife Becky, Afton, Oklahoma, Mark Morgan and wife Patty, Diamond, Missouri; one daughter, Melissa Morgan, Diamond, Missouri; three brothers, Wayne Morgan, of Diamond, Raymond Morgan, of Kansas City, and Mike Morgan, of Joplin; seven grandchildren, Matthew Morgan and wife Jessica, Jena Chacko and husband David, Krystal Frossard and husband Justin, Amber Ball and husband Austin, T.J. McDonald and girlfriend Nicole, Cody McDonald and wife Kobee, and Morgan McDonald; seven great-grandchildren, Emma Martin, Jocelyn Morgan, Kinsley Chacko, Christian Chacko, Oliver Frossard, Taylynn McDonald, and Adara Ball due in December, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday November 9, 2020 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary chapel with Chris Sloan officiating. Burial will follow at Stone Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3:00-4:00pm Sunday at the mortuary.
