Kitty Bates

Kitty Clay Bates, 71, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away on Sunday October 25, 2020 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.

She was born on December 24, 1948 in Pampa, Texas, born to the late, Elmer James and Norene (Lychlieter) Harrah. Kitty married Jerry Lee Bates on August 3, 1967 in Panhandle, Texas. 

Kitty worked as a nurse and for the Wal-Mart Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas. She enjoyed fishing, reading and arts and crafts. Kitty cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the First Christian Church in Anderson, Missouri.








She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Donna Harrah.

Kitty is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Bates of the home; daughter, Sherry Enyart and husband, Elmer of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; son, Jason Bates and wife, Tenille of Kearney, Missouri, Gary Bates and wife Gail of Grove, Oklahoma, son Terry Bates of Grove, Oklahoma and daughter Shirley Kellogg of Grove, Oklahoma; brother, Larry Harrah and wife, Sandy of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jessica Thomas and husband Colin, Savannah Enyart and Mylik George, Shawnay Enyart and Seth Shettlesworth, Karissa Wilson, Matthew Kellogg, Adrianna Elizabeth, Morgan Pierce, Hailey; great grandchildren, Bronx Thomas, Graham Thomas and Zariyah George; as well as a host of other family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Kitty.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. John Allison will officiate.
