Les King

Lester Lewis King, III, age 67, Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 after a sudden illness.

Les was born November 6, 1952 in Long Beach, California. He grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating from Manzano High School before serving in the United States Army. 

He married Sandra Lea Morrison on October 26, 1988 in Quanah, Texas, and they moved to the Joplin area in 1995.








He has worked as a truck driver most of his adult life, and most recently was working for Environmental Quality Management (EQM) as a driver for the past several years.

Les was preceded in death by his father, Lester Lewis King, Jr., and a sister, Gail Ostrom.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sandy King; a son, Les King, IV and Callie Onstot of Joplin; sister, Peggy King of Louisville, Kentucky; his mother, Betty King of Joplin.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with private services to be held at a later date in Texas.
