(From Parker Mortuary)James Vincent Taylor, 73, of Joplin, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020, at his residence.
James was born December 22, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, to the union of the late Edward Taylor and Elizabeth (Ingrum) Taylor. James worked as a window washer. He was an avid movie fanatic and had a passion for working on old cars. He was a character and could light up the room. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
On March 13, 1973, James was united in marriage to Matilda (McKenna) Taylor. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2012.
On January 23, 2013 James was united in marriage to Dottie (Creech) Taylor. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2018.
Survivors include his children, Kimberly Carish, Barbara Taylor, James Taylor, Kenny Phillips, April Harper, Kimberly Marney, Keith Taylor and Bruce Taylor; 25 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
