(From Knell Mortuary)Sergio Marroquin Jr., 42, Joplin, Missouri passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Joplin. He was born on December 14, 1981, in East La, California, the son of Sergio Sr. and Patricia Marroquin. He was a 1999 graduate of Morton East High School, Cicer, Illinois. He married Deanna Espinosa in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the St Ann’s Catholic Church of Carthage and was employed with Schreiber Foods in Carthage.
He is survived by his wife, Deann; children, Edgar Rueda, Jocelynn Primavera Marroquin, Dulce Marroquin, and Marcos Marroquin; his parents, Sergio Sr and Patricia Marroquin; and a brother Manual Marroquin.
Funeral mass will be held at 3 pm Friday, June 21, 2024, at the St Ann’s Catholic Church. Sergio will lie in state from 12 pm to 5 pm Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Knell Mortuary for those who wish to sign the register book and pay their respects.
