Murry Renner

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Murry Edward Renner, age 76, who left us on June 21, 2024, in Neosho, Missouri. Murry was born on August 31, 1947, in Burlington, Colorado, to the late Floyd and Elnora (Moos) Renner.

Murry married the love of his life, Carol Teichmer, on July 16, 1969, in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three sons: Lance (Cindy) Renner of Stella, Missouri, Jay (Susan) Renner of Neosho, Missouri and Floyd Renner of Stark City, Missouri. Murry was a proud grandfather to Trae (Morgan) Renner, Kacia (Mac) Lowe, Kelsey (Tyler) Pruitt, Riley (Kiley) Renner, Eric Renner, Grace Renner, Maci Renner, Marshal Renner, and Madelyn Renner. He was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.








He is survived by his brother, Roger (Hope) Renner of Macomb, Oklahoma; sisters, Rose Galli of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, and Antoinette (Sparky) Eastlake of Ellicott, Colorado; brother-in-law, Walter Teichmer, of Grinnell, Kansas and sisters-in-law, Virginia Renner, of Wallace, Kansas and Fern Renner of Oakley, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James Renner, Larry Renner, and David Renner.

Murry dedicated his life to farming, specializing in cattle and crops, and served as a former sheriff of Cheyenne County, Colorado. He was a respected member of the Young Farmers of East Newton and had a deep love for playing cards with friends and family. Above all, Murry cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Granby, Missouri. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Granby Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Newtonia IOOF Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Jeff, Gene, Joe, Ira, Trae, Riley, Eric and Marshal Renner.








In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Granby Christian Church, located at 969 Granby Miners Rd, Granby, MO 64844, in Murry's memory.

Murry's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Murry. You will be forever loved and missed.
