Bob Sammann

(From Ozark Funeral Home)

Bobby Dale Sammann, 89, of Anderson, Missouri, known affectionately as Bob, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, June 26, 2024, at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri, from complications of a fall at home on May 7, 2024.

Born on February 27, 1935, in Floydada, Texas, Bob's journey through life was marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a successful career in business.

Bob's early years were spent in Plainview, Texas, where he was raised and educated before answering the call of duty at the age of 18 by enlisting in the United States Air Force. His service to his country was a source of great pride and laid a foundation of discipline and commitment that he carried throughout his life.

On September 15, 1957, Bob married his first love, Barbara Helen Bolton, and together they welcomed two children, Michael and Bobbette, into the world. The family made their home in Shell Rock, Iowa, Texas and Tennessee before moving to Neosho, Missouri in December of 1973, where Bob and Barbara founded the House of Donuts. In October of 1974, they made the decision to move to Anderson, Missouri, where they remained until the time of both of their passings.

Bob's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate several businesses, including the Ozark Cafe, The Anderson Donut Shop, and Bob Sammann Real Estate/National Realty. His passion for real estate kept him actively involved in the business community up until his passing. Bob's work ethic and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.

After the passing of his first wife, Barbara, on August 21, 2014, Bob found love again and married Carol Corcoran on August 18, 2018. Their union, filled with dancing, visits to area casinos, and treasured moments with family and friends.

Bob was a man of faith and fellowship, a member of the First Baptist Church in Anderson. His commitment to community was evident through his involvement with the Joplin Masonic Lodge, the Ozark Gateway Association of Realtors, and the McDonald County Republican Club. Bob's interests and activities reflected his love for life and his desire to be an active and contributing member of his community. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William Martin and Willie Lee (Goen) Sammann; his first wife, Barbara Sammann; his brothers, Billy and Carroll Sammann; and his sisters, Margaret Sammann and Delma Morris.
