(From Daniel Funeral Home)Thomas Bruce Magruder, age 67, of Lamar, Missouri passed away June 14, 2024 after a long convalescence.
Bruce was born September 4, 1956 in Rolla, Missouri to Thomas Austin Magruder and Marjorie Ann (Baysinger) Magruder. Bruce graduated from Rolla High School in the class of 1974, following graduation, Bruce went directly to the Marine Corps following a family tradition. After his separation from the corps, he married Robin Kay, and they had three children.
Bruce worked for BNSF railroad repairing track, and then worked multiple temporary jobs before retiring on disability.
On December 24, 2005, Bruce married Marsha Ann Doyle in Lamar, MO., where they are active members of Lamar Family Ministries Center.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha; two sons, Shaun and wife Jolee Magruder of Seattle, Washington and Tyler Magruder of Jefferson City, Missouri; one daughter, Sarah Magruder of Phoenix, Arizona; and two sisters, Valerie and her husband Phil Chapple of Rolla, MO., and Marcey Moutray of Branson, Missouri, along with many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Bruce was preceded in death by both parents, and stepfather, Otho Moutray.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Lamar Family Ministries Center in Lamar, MO.
