Shelby Clark

Shelby Jean (Lively) Clark, age 82, Joplin, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Mercy of Joplin.

Shelby was born August 26, 1941 in Danville, Alabama, daughter of the late Howard and Ruth (McAbee) Lively. She graduated from Labette Community College in Parson, KS and retired from Bagcraft in Baxter Springs, KS after many years as a supervisor. She loved spending time with her family, especially shopping. She was also fond of reading and taking care of her flower gardens. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church of Joplin.







In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Gary Solen Clark who passed away December 31, 2013, and a daughter, Teresa Clark who passed away May 11, 2014.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy McCaslin and husband Leon of Neosho, MO, son, Jeff Clark and partner Jesse Hoey of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Mindi Tucker (Kevin) of Bentonville, AR, Tabatha Graham (Jeremy) of Webb City, MO, Mikki Valenzuela of Joplin, Stacy Fiscus (Brian) of Sigel, PA, and Josh Bundy (Kelly) of Seville, OH; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla, River, Keera, Raee, Ethan, Abel, Evan, Colton, and Brixon; sister, Janice Lively of Golden, MO.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Brian Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Jeff Clark, Leon McCaslin, Jeremy Graham, Kevin Tucker, Josh Bundy, and Ed Rose serving as pallbearers.
