Larry Lewis

Larry Joe Lewis, age 76 of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest on June 17, 2024, at his home, from burns he sustained in February 2024. 

Larry was born on June 6, 1948, in Neosho, Missouri, one of five children to Joe and Shirley (Hood) Lewis. He graduated from Granby High School in 1966 and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a mechanic on farm equipment until his retirement. 






He enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns and working on them and being in the Colorado Mountains. He was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. 

On September 3, 1966, in Granby, Missouri, Larry and Shyrl Shewmake were united in marriage and Shryl survives. 

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Larry is survived by two children, Brian Lewis and wife, Amy of Wheaton and Kayla Wilmoth and husband, Michael of Neosho; one granddaughter, Paula Lewis-Allen; three grandsons, Christopher Lewis, Jackson Lewis-Hite and Briar Lewis; three great grandchildren, Lily, Joanna, and Zacharie and one brother, Dale Lewis of Granby. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Pam Armstrong and two brothers, Mike Lewis and John Lewis. 








The family will receive friends Monday evening, June 24, 2024, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby. Graveside services will be at 10 am Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City, Missouri.
