Nick Kitch

Nickolas Joe Kitch, age 45 of Columbus, Kansas passed away at his home on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Nick was born February 26, 1979 in Columbus, Kansas to Terry Kitch and JoAnna (Golden) Reynolds. He graduated with the Class of ‘97 from Columbus Unified High School, also, receiving Certification in Construction from Columbus Vo-Tech. He worked in general construction and concrete, as well as, owning his business, Kitch's Concrete. 






Among his special interests, Nick enjoyed designing concrete slabs, fishing and loved being outdoors. Picking wild mushrooms and asparagus was his past time, Nick would share his harvest with friends and family. He loved animals, and was always willing to help others.

He will be terribly missed by many who were blessed to know him, especially his family which includes his two sons, Nickolas Kitch (wife Aundria) of Columbus, KS, and Hayden Delmont (wife Dezeray) of Osawatamie, KS; his mother and step-father, Don and JoAnna Reynolds of Columbus, KS; six siblings: Crystal Wheeler (husband Doug) of Wichita, KS, Christina Brister (husband Cody) of Tressville, AL, Christopher Reynolds (wife Angela) of West Mineral, KS, Ashley Tibbs (husband Brian) of Baxter Springs, KS, Matthew Reynolds (wife Tesla) of Duenweg, MO, and Kylie Kitch of Columbus, KS; his grandchildren: Lauren, Paxton, Avery, Madison, and Suttyn and many nieces and nephews.








Nick was preceded in death by his father, Terry Kitch, his Grandfather, Ray Golden and Grandmothers, Georgia Golden and Ora Lee Kitch.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus, Kansas. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM, at Stapleton Church of Christ in Joplin, Missouri. Condolences may be left for the family at derfeltfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to JoAnna Reynolds to help with final expenses, and left in care of the funeral home.
