(From Ozark Funeral Home)Tara Nicole Higgins, 35 years old, was welcomed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 18th at home in Garfield, Arkansas.
Born September 29, 1989 in Joplin Missouri to parents Brian and Della (Spears) Higgins, Tara was sunshine in a dark world and her spiritual gift was encouragement. She loved her friends and family passionately. Her kindness was obvious to all and her laughter contagious.
Softball was a part of her life from her younger days with her father as a coach and mom her greatest supporter. She was an All-District, All Conference, All Region and All State starting pitcher for the McDonald County Mustangs and received a scholarship where she played at the University of Alabama in Montgomery.
She was currently a Front Desk Manager for Osage Veterinary Clinic in Bentonville. Tara loved animals as they loved without judgment.
She was preceded in death by her father, Brian Higgins, maternal grandparents Glen & Virgie Spears, paternal grandparents James & Betty Higgins, Jeff Adair Sr. and cousin, Jody Thurman.
Treasuring her memory every day is her mother, Della (Spears) Adair and Jeff Adair, siblings Raylee Adair and Justin Adair, and grandmother, Deborah Adair. Aunts and uncles who loved her dearly are Nathan & Louann Adair, David Adair, Dennis & Kerry Spears, Virgil & Dora Spears, Dixie Shoptaw, Teresa Miller, Randy and Viv Spears. Cherished cousins are Travis Spears (Heather), Levi Spears (Colleen), Heather Shipers (Caleb), Dusty Spears (Casey), Dustin Shoptaw (Krista), Ashley Shoptaw, Kyle Ferdig (Mindy), Kevin Ferdig, Crystal Ferdig (Andrew), Caleb Moppin (Sydney) and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A grave side memorial will be held Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 pm at New Bethel Cemetery just west of Anderson Missouri.
