Betty L. “Murphy” Rea, 82, passed away February 19, 2015 at Freeman Hospital.
Betty was born in California to Edna Davis. She was raised in the Golden City, Lockwood area; she was a homemaker and worked in nursing at the old McCune Brooks Hospital. Betty was a member of the Forest Park Church of Carthage.
Betty was united in marriage to Will Rea September 25, 1998 in Carthage, Missouri he survives. Betty is survived by two daughters Vickie Fosdick and Patricia Murphy Marston both of Carthage and one son Carey Murphy of Carthage, seven grandchildren Adam Murphy, Caitlin Murphy, Brian Fosdick, Bruce Fosdick, Brad Fosdick, Bryce Fosdick and Erin Marston, four great grandchildren, two sisters June Earp of Liberty, MO and Brenda Rusher of Springfield, MO, and one brother Gary McCulloch of Carthage.
Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Park Baptist Church of Carthage. Contributions can be made to the Forest Park Baptist Church of Carthage in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
