Stanley F. Lewis, 82, Carl Junction, died February 8, 2015 at his home, following an illness. Stanley was born July 13, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He served in the U.S. Army and had moved to Carl Junction twenty five years ago from Chanute, Kansas. He worked as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance prior to his retirement.
Stanley married Ila Virginia Pettit and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2014. He is survived by two children, Jeffrey Lewis and wife, Tela of Saline, Louisiana and Mendi Brazil and husband, Todd of Pittsburg, Kansas; five grandchildren, Brent Lewis, Rebecca Coursey, Ashley Lewis, Cole Brazil and Leah Brazil; four great grandchildren, Preston Lewis, Alyssa Kate Lewis, Kaylee Coursey and Sam Coursey; a half brother, Joe Lewis of Montgomery, Alabama and sister, Esther McDuff of Lafayette, Louisiana. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a half sister, Pam Lewis
Stanley has been taken for cremation and private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
