Mark Allen Compton, 58, Joplin, died February 6, 2015 at Freeman West, Joplin, MO after a short illness. Mark was born October 12, 1956 in Joplin, MO to Charles and Patricia (Narrell) Compton. Mark was a lifelong resident of Joplin. He graduated from Diamond, MO High School. He was a journeyman electrician and an Insurance broker for Southwest Agency, in Carthage, MO and was a CPCU. Mark had also became a licensed pilot.
He was a former member of Joplin Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Joplin Scottish Rite; Abou Ben Adhen, Springfield, MO and the Joplin Shriners Club.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Clark’s Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO at 10:00 AM with Rev. Fr. Michael Kuzara officiating. Interment will follow at Saginaw Cemetery, south of Joplin, MO. The family will receive friends, Monday, February 9, 2015 from 6 – 7 P.M. at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church, C/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850-0066.
