Mary Sue (Woody) Potts was born September 18, 1943 in Nevada, Missouri to Emery A. (Dude) Woody and Clydia Woody, and passed away on January 1, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Mary graduated from Lockwood High School in 1961. She married LaDon Francis Potts June 4, 1961. To this union three children were born; Terry Don, Timothy Allen, and Tamera Sue.
Mary and LaDon were blessed with grandchildren; Jacob Cole, Shanae Dawn, Brandan Matthew, and Emily Jeanette.
Mary received her LPN from Graft VoTech in 1978 and worked at the Dade County Nursing Home for 11 ½ years and Missouri Rehabilitation Hospital in Mt. Vernon for 27 years, and also worked alongside her husband on the family farm, and enjoyed knitting, cooking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Clydia, brothers, Robert and Glen, and a son, Tim.
Mary is survived by husband LaDon; children, Terry and Tricia Potts, and Tamera and Dan Kovacs, and grandchildren; Jacob Potts, Shanae Potts, Brandan Kovacs and Emily Kovacs.
Mary is appreciated for her many years of service of caring for others, and will be greatly missed.
Services Sunday at 2:00 PM in the funeral home with burial in Anna Edna Cemetery
Visitation Saturday 5 to 7 PM
