Russell Cobb

On Friday, May 1st, 2020, Russell Wayne Cobb, loving husband, father and grandpa passed away suddenly at the age of 62.

Russell was born May 6, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri to Chester Cobb and Sally (McKenzie) Burkhardt. In 1976 he graduated high school in Warrenton, MO., then went on the become a U.S. Marine.

He married Laurie (McHenry) Cobb on December 6, 1980, then moved with his family to Lamar, MO. He was long time employee of the Tire Lube Express at Wal-Mart until he retired in 2016. Russell and his wife have lived in Golden City, MO., for the last couple of years.










Russell pursued a variety of hobbies and interests including playing the guitar, computers and electronics, remote controlled model airplanes, clock making, 3D printing, creating a vegetable garden each year and spending time with his grandchildren.

Russell will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years Laurie (McHenry) Cobb; two daughters, Lisa (Cobb) Randazzo, Warrenton, MO, Chasity McHenry, Golden City, MO; a son, Jason Cobb, Lamar, MO; eight grandchildren, Candace, Patrick, Johnathan, Blaise, Jewelyana, Angel, Onyx and Serenity; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kayden and Audree; three brothers, Donald Cobb, Warrenton, MO, Jerry Cobb, Lamar, MO, Robert Baker, Mound City, MO; one sister, Debra (Baker) Bikus, Joplin, MO, and a large extended family as well as his loyal dog who he loved so much, Millie.

Russell was preceded in death by his father, Chester Cobb; mother, Sally (McKenzie) Burkhardt; stepfather, Ralph Burkhardt; a brother, Timothy Cobb and a sister, Victoria (Baker) Donnelly.

Services will be held at a later date when his close family and friends are able to come together to celebrate and remember him.
