Virginia Sloniker

Marian Virginia Sloniker, 83, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 in Carthage, Missouri. Virginia was born March 22, 1938 in Carthage, Missouri to Marion Meyers and Madalin Bowman. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage, Missouri. 

Through the years, Virginia worked at Safe Way Cheese, Big Smith, Precious Moments and Sarcoxie Golf Course. She also attended Risen Ranch Church. Virginia was an artist who loved painting. She also loved spending time with her kids and grandkids as often as possible.








Virginia is survived by two sons, Teddy Sloniker and his wife, Bertha of Carthage, Missouri and Richard Sloniker and his wife, Carolyn of Carthage, Missouri; a daughter, Ruth Jacks of Carthage, Missouri; a son-n-law, Alan Dougless of Carthage, Missouri; three brothers, Arthur Meyers and his wife, Vinita of Carthage, Missouri, Harold Meyers of Carthage, Missouri, and Bill Vosburgh and his wife, Nora of Illinois; one sister, Louis Cross of Carthage, Missouri; nine grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Madalin Meyers; one daughter, Rose Dougless; a grandson, Christopher Sloniker; and a great granddaughter, Clarissa Sloniker.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Risen Ranch Church.
