(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Edwin Misael Reyes Ramos, 59, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones. Edwin was born February 23, 1965, in Guatemala City, Guatemala to Martin Alejandro Reyes and Leonor Ramos. Edwin was a longtime resident of Carthage, Missouri.
He was the pastor at Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vida for twenty years. Edwin completed his Bachelor of Arts in accounting and really enjoyed traveling and the ranch lifestyle.
Edwin was united in marriage to Andrea Reyes in June 1990 in Los Angeles, California; she survives.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Andrea Reyes; seven children, Glendy Ruiz, Edwin M. Reyes Jr., Edna Benitez, Helen Sagastume, Damaris Reyes, Shirleyn Nevarez, and Juan Antonio Reyes; eleven grandchildren, Jase Misael, Andrea Darleyn, Anthony Misael, Abraham Alberto, Lucia Gizzel, Patricia Abigal, Ezekiel Misael, Cesar Misael, Aaron Misael, Ezrah Nehemia, and Louis Misael; and ten brothers and sisters.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Edwin’s service will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vida in Carthage, Missouri. His burial procession will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Iglesia Cristiana Nueva Vida and end graveside at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
