(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Esther Straw Schubert Archer, 91, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at home in Sarcoxie, Missouri surrounded by her loving family.
Esther was born on October 6, 1932 to the union of the late Layton Straw Senior and Mary Pew Straw.
She was united in marriage to Chester Schubert in 1950. To this union they were blessed with 6 children. Sons, David Schubert and wife, Sharon, of La Russell, Missouri, Dannie Schubert and partner Robin; Robert Schubert and wife, Debra, of Stotts City, Missouri; Dale Schubert and wife, Markita, of Collinsville, Oklahoma and daughter Joan Pyle of Cushing Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren, forty-five great- grandchildren and thirteen great- great grandchildren She devoted herself to her family and entertaining 6 children by traveling, never the same road twice. There was always laughter. She taught Sunday School for numerous years.
On January 1, 1972, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Dee Archer, sharing fifty-two years together. She was preceded in death by her parents; Husbands, Chester Schubert and Kenneth Dee Archer, son, Howard Schubert and son-in-law, James Pyle, Siblings, Frances Roberts, Louise Ott, George Straw, Bud (Layton Jr) Straw and Albert Straw.
Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 17531 State Hwy 96, Carthage, Missouri.
Graveside services was held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Cave Spring Cemetery, Sarcoxie, Missouri, for immediate family. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Schubert, Joshua Schubert, Todd Schubert, Robert Pyle, Nathan Schubert, Matthew Schubert, Justin Schubert. Reception will follow after service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sarcoxie Senior Citizens in Sarcoxie, Missouri.
