Evelyn WIlcox

Evelyn Ruth Wilcox was born July 28, 1939 in Ayrshire, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Shank) Allen. She entered into rest on April 11, 2019 at Granby House Nursing Home, following an extended illness at the age of 79.

 Evelyn moved to the area in 1992 from South Dakota. She worked as a certified nurse's assistant and she enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, reading and going to garage sales. She was a member of the Goodman First Baptist Church. 

 Evelyn and Alfred 'Al' Wilcox were married on Feb. 20, 1960 in Buffalo Center, Iowa and he survives. Additional survivors include four children, Jody Alden Wilcox and wife, Cookie of Andalusia, Alabama, Randal Wilcox and wife, Nancy of Joplin, Kevin Wilcox of Stillwater, Minnesota and Tamara Haggard and husband, Ryan of Granby; two brothers, Mike Allen of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Perry Allen of Brinard, Minnesota; one sister, Shirley Johnson of Cannon Falls, Minnesota; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Karl Allen and Warren Allen and a sister, Elva Roberts.
