Robert L. Richardson, 85, passed away at 8:13 a.m. Friday April 19, 2019 at his home in Carthage, MO. Robert was born July 11, 1933 in Mora, Minnesota. He was the son of Henry Richardson and Elenor Mae Johnson.
Robert was a lifelong resident of Carthage. He served in the United States Navy for 4 years and 4 years in the Reserve. Robert was employed by Jasper International for 21 years, McCune Brooks Hospital for 20 years and the maintenance department for Wal-Mart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper and the Jasper VFW.
Robert was united in marriage to Deanne Osterdyk on May 8, 1960 in Mora, Minnesota. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2005.

Robert is survived by three sons, Jim Richardson of Carthage, Terry Richardson and wife Linda of Lamar, MO and Don Richardson of Carthage and one daughter Susan Chapman and husband Keith of Carthage. Four Grandchildren Darren (Ashton) Chapman, Melanie (Jay) Martin, Nathan Chapman and Kurt Richardson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday April 22, 2019 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Waters Cemetery, north of Carthage. Contributions may be made to Jasper First Baptist Church in care of the Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent atwww.ulmerfh.com.
