Gregory Ward Sallee, 72, Neosho, passed away from complications of COPD on April 23, 2019. He was born in Neosho on May 6, 1946 to Elden and Carole (Stauffer) Sallee.
Gregory served as an Aviation Fire Control Technician in the US Navy, retiring after 22 years. He then retired after serving 20 years with the Neosho Police Department. He was an ordained deacon of the Southern Baptist denomination; he was an Eagle Scout and a Scoutmaster; he loved being a mentor.
Gregory and Katheleen (Kathy) Hartwell were married December 25, 1969 in Creal Springs, IL; she survives of the home.
He is also survived by two children, Billy Sallee and wife, Rondia of Neosho, and Angela Watson and husband, Brent of Guam; two sisters, Pam Wottge (Ben) of Broomfield, CO, Beth Milburn (Bruce) of Lakewood, CO; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Sallee of Neosho, MO, and Athene Engel of Lake Wales, FL; six grandchildren, Devon, Kelsey, Tommy, Triston, Kirra, Gregory, Jozlynn, Jett, and Jai; four great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Stephen E. Sallee and Rodney K. Sallee; one daughter, Lorena Sallee; and one daughter-in-law, Diana Sallee.
Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Stone Cemetery, North of Diamond, MO.
