Nathan R. 'Nate' Berry, age 21, Joplin, passed away 6:55 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Mercy Hospital.
Nate was born February 4, 1998 in Joplin to Jillean Howerton and Joshua Berry and had lived in the Joplin area all of his life.
Nate worked in construction and did mechanical work on the side. A motorcycle enthusiast, Nate enjoyed taking apart his motorcycles and putting them back together, even if it meant doing it in the living room!
Nate was a free spirit with a heart of gold. He supported Bikers Against Child Abuse and had friends of all ages. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his mother, Jillean Howerton and husband, Justin, Joplin; his father, Joshua Berry, Neosho; siblings, Alex Richardson and wife, Summer, Joplin, Ryan Berry, Neosho, William Berry, Neosho, Colin Berry, Neosho, Jaxson Howerton, Webb City, Kylie Howerton, Webb City, Maddison Dreyer, Jackson, Tennessee; grandparents, Jim and Wendy Richardson, Oronogo, Janice Trimble, Joplin, Richard and Debbie Berry, Grove, Oklahoma, and Ron and Rebecca Macy, Seneca.
Services are planned for Monday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. His great uncle, Gary Richardson, will officiate. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
