(From Knell Mortuary)Janet Anne Sutter, 86, Carthage, Missouri passed away Monday morning, October 12, 2020 at the St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage, Missouri. Jan was born March 15, 1934 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Murl Hildreth Conrad and Elizabeth Alyne (Perkins) Conrad.
She graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. She married Bill Sutter June 26, 1953 at First Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Though often behind the scenes supporting her husband Bill during his music ministry and teaching career, Jan also had a hand in the development of young people through her years of piano teaching and various music, teaching, and leadership roles wherever Bill was working, including First Baptist Church, Carthage and Salem Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia, among others.

Jan is survived by her daughter Lynn, son Jonathan, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, Bill, preceded her in death earlier this year.
Services will be announced by the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages any memorial gifts to be in the form of donations benefiting the staff of St. Luke’s Nursing Center or Avalon Hospice in care of Knell Mortuary.
