Opal Brigman

Opal Dean (Cargile) Brigman, 84, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at the Granby House, Granby, Missouri. Opal was born February 29, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to W.A. and Mildred (Fletcher-Presley) Cargile. 

At a young age, Opal’s family moved to Granby, Missouri, where she resided the remaining years of her life. She attended school in Granby. Opal was a member of the Bible Holiness Church in Granby and was very concerned with living a holy life and faithful in attendance as long as her health permitted. She prayed faithfully for her many family members and was always so happy when they came to see her. 

Opal was dearly loved by the patients and employees at the Granby House. Opal was a great reader and loved putting puzzles together. She also loved helping around the Granby House in any way she could, making projects for different parties, etc. 








Opal was married to Everett Brigman on March 30, 1956, in Granby. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1995. While Everett was alive they had a business in Granby and most everyone in town knew her by name. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jack A. Presley; and five sisters, Nellie Douthitt Miller, Cleva Robbins Lowe, Pearl Jackson, Hattie Turner and Edna Hamilton. 

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many, many friends. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from noon to 5pm or Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 9am to noon. 

Graveside Service will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Granby Memorial Cemetery, Granby, Missouri. Reverend Dan Williams will be officiating.
