(From Greenfield Funeral Home)Carolyn Faye Myers, of South Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO at the age of 87.
She was born on June 23, 1936 in Ash Grove, MO to Rev. Joe W. and Zola Lee (Harris) Miller. Carolyn was united in marriage to Robert L. “Bob” Myers in the summer of 1959.
She retired at the age of 77 after 35 years of working at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home and the Dade County Nursing Home. Carolyn loved jewelry and enjoyed collecting unique pieces. She enjoyed attending to her flower gardens, knitting, and watching soap operas.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Rev. Joe and Zola Miller; her husband, Bob Myers; one son, Rodney B. Hollingsworth; and one grandchild, Bruce Hollingsworth.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Walker and husband Paul; her son, Billy Bob Myers; three sisters, Joetta Worley, Libby Marshall, and Marlena Cummings; seven grandchildren, Kenny Payne and wife Amber, Kurtis Payne and wife Corinne, Samantha Dodd and husband Isaac, Sabrina Walker, Nicole Parker, Tamara Kloepper, and Krystal Hollingsworth; thirteen great-grandchildren, Kaden Payne, Lillian Payne, Cole Payne, Geneva Payne, Merryn Payne, Wyatt Dodd, Morgan Dodd, Eleanor Dodd, Nickolei Cain, Blain Cain, Parker Cain, Natalie Kloepper, and Raylan Kloepper; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Daughtrey Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
