(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)Donald LaRay Vinson, 76, of Lamar, MO passed away on Thursday May 30, 2024. He was born in Lamar, MO to Delera (Howard) and James Vinson. He grew up in Lamar and Golden City, MO and graduated from Golden City High School in 1965.
After high school he worked in several places including Golden City Business Forms, Job Corp, O’Sullivan’s, and RSI. He was a huge fan of the Yankees and the Packers. He liked to listen to Buck Owens and other country music, was an avid reader, and traveled the US with his mother and brother. He attended the Assembly of God Churches in Golden City and Lamar and Living Nazarene Church of Lamar.
He is survived by his siblings Wanda Joyce Hunt and husband Lloyd of Nevada, MO and James Vinson of Lamar, MO.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Carol Smith, Martha Burris, and Patricia Schmoranz.
The family will receive visitors on Monday June 3, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM June 4, 2024 at Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
