Webb Philliber

Webster “Webb” Lee Philliber, 84, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away at Mercy Hospital at 6:00 pm on May 17, 2024, after an illness. He was born to Raymond Philliber and Winnie Safronia Newdigger on August 26, 1939.

Webb was raised in Neosho, Missouri, alongside one sister, Rosa King of Grove, Oklahoma, and two brothers, Wayne Philliber and John Philliber, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1958. Following high school, he served four years in the Navy as a 3rd Class Airman.








Webb worked as a head stock clerk at various grocery stores and delivered for Jewell T and Guy’s Potato Chips. He owned and operated Webb’s One Stop in Neosho from 1987 until his retirement in 2002. Webb was and remains a charter member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Neosho, Missouri. Webb was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed camping, and loved dogs.

On January 29, 1963, Webb married Joyce Middleton in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they had one daughter, Rhonda Philliber of Neosho, Missouri, and two sons, Justin Philliber of Leonardville, Kansas, and John Sarcoxie.

Webb is survived by his wife Joyce, their three children Rhonda, Justin, and John, and numerous family members and friends.








Visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5-7 pm and graveside services will be announced with burial to be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
