Don “Donnie” Walter Miller of Welch, OK passed from this life Thursday, June 6, 2024 at his home. He was 64.

Donnie was born November 9, 1959 in Miami, OK to Jack and Arlene (Wedding) Miller. He had lived in Welch for the past 2 ½ years moving from Gainesville, TX. Donnie graduated from Welch High School, Welch, OK class of 1977. He went to college on a baseball scholarship and played ball for Murray State in Tishomingo, OK and Southeastern State University in Durant, OK. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Southeastern State University in Durant, OK. 

Donnie was a CNC Machinist and programmer and had worked as a tech for Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK.

Donnie was preceded in death by his father Jack Miller, brother, James Miller and step-father Charles “Chuck” Hull.

Survivors include 1 son, Michael Miller and his wife Brittany of Frisco, TX, 1 daughter, Amanda McKinney and her husband Donnie of Gainesville, TX, his mother Arlene Hull of Miami, OK, 3 brothers, Tommy Miller and his wife Christine of Bernice, OK, Jackie Miller and his wife Ashley of Welch, OK and Michael Miller and his wife Rhonda of Anderson, MO, 1 sister, Michelle Turley and her husband Scott of Rogers, AR and 2 grandchildren, Brayden McCarty and Erin McCarty.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Scott Turley will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home beginning at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Paul Thomas Family Center in Miami, OK.
