Gary Dodson

Gary Dodson, age 63, of Joplin, Missouri passed away on June 4th, 2024.

He was born on October 3rd, 1960 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to his loving parents William “W.J.” and Betty (Dreibelbis) Dodson. Gary was a lifelong resident of Joplin.

Gary married his beautiful wife Gail (Fisher) on July 30th, 2018 in Joplin, Missouri.

He worked as a forklift operator at Schreiber Foods for over 40 years and will be dearly missed by all his coworkers.
Gary loved his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need without anything in return. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and his sarcasm always brought a smile to everyone’s face. His favorite past times included playing video games on the Xbox, watching anime, and keeping an eye on the deer in his backyard.

He is preceded in death by his father W.J. Dodson.

Gary is survived by his mother Betty; loving wife, Gail; Three children, Laura Dodson (Jerod Melton) and two children, Kaitlyn and Gabriel, Sarah Dodson (Erin Kelley) and two children, Emily and Hayden; Dereck Dodson; and the fur babies Katy and Holly; one sister, Julie Dodson-Simpson (Rodney) and two children, Taylor Simpson and Ashley Main; two cousins, Amanda and Paul.

Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family requests guests wear casual attire to the service.
