Jacquelyn E.K. Amen-Williams, 79, passed away November 8, 2013 in Carthage, Missouri.
Jacquelyn was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Jacob Amen Jr. and Doris (Johnson) Amen. She was a Homemaker, then a CMA in Arizona, then a dispatcher for Maricopa County police department, Arizona. Jacquelyn was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She lived in Carthage off and on over the past 20 years.
Jacquelyn was united in marriage to George Williams in 1987 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He preceded her in death. Jacquelyn is survived by son, Darrel Isaacs, Jr and wife Tomoko of Overland Park, Kansas, four daughters Daryla Isaacs and husband Michael Lobush of Lincoln, NE, Wanda Park and husband Dave of Kansas City, Missouri, Peggy Isaacs of Austin, Texas, and Debbie Mead and husband Lee of Bloomington, Illinois; Thirteen grandchildren: Christopher and Alisa Isaacs, Ashley, Kara and Andrew Martin, Melissa Swindler and husband Chad, Michael Park, Greg, Matthew and Jonathan Pence, Shannon Cary, Ursula Urlauskas, Jason Fowler and 15 great grandchildren. Jacquelyn was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ronald Amen and recently one daughter Pam Isaacs on August 28, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 25, 2013 at Fidelity Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com.

Mary Pflug

Mary was born June 16, 1929 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Frederick Pflug and Norma Nix Pflug.
She was a homemaker.
Mary is survived by two sons, Mark Patrick, Clever, Missouri, Chris Patrick, Cape Fair, Missouri; a daughter, Becky Spence, Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several brothers.
Graveside services are planned for Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Hosea Bilyeu will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-2:00p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield, in care of Parker Mortuary.

She was a homemaker.

Judy Lane, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior 10:46 p.m. Thursday November 14, 2013 at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital Carthage, MO.
Judy was born July 17, 1940 in Winchester, Kansas to Roger Benson and Genevieve “Schwinn” Benson. Judy was a Homemaker and was a member of the Covenant World Outreach Church. She was in the ministry of encouragement in sending sympathy cards to the entire area, she was known as “The Card Lady”. Judy was formerly married to Robert “Bob” Lane in Topeka, Kansas he survives.
Judy is survived by her step-mom Helen Benson of Mayetta, KS. One daughter Debbie Lane of Absecon, NJ, two sons Lowell Lane and his wife Laura of Carthage, MO and Robin Lane of Clarksdale, MS. Seven grandchildren Matthew Lane, Emily Lane, Michael Lane, Amy Lane, Jason Bevitt, Justin Bevitt, Jacquelyn McFarland, four great grandchildren Jaysen, Ashlynn and Brayden Bevitt and Jackson MCFarland. One step-sister Pam Danley, two step-brothers Ira Beasterfield and Ray Beasterfield. Judy was preceded by her parents and one brother Bobby Benson.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday November 22, 2013 at the Covenant World Outreach. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday November 21, 2013 at Ulmer Funeral Home Carthage, MO. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.

Virginia Glover
Virginia Ruth Campbell Harper-Glover was born March 17, 1924 to Emma and Clyde Campbell near Greenfield, Missouri in Dade County.
She passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home at the age of 89 on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Harper of Greenfield; and her second husband, Jim Glover of Joplin. She was the youngest of 8 brothers and sisters who have also preceded her in death. They are Joe and Leona Campbell, Bill and Lila Campbell, Rusty and Marguerite Campbell, Roberta and Ed Owens, Lewis Montgomery and an infant brother.
She is survived by two sons, David Harper and his wife, Zola, Springfield, Bill Harper and his wife, Alice, Joplin; four grandchildren, Mary Wetherell and her children, Michael and Amanda Wetherell, Billie Harper and her children, Kori and Hailey Harper, Lee Harper and his children, Jesse, Heaven and Harley Harper, Joshua Harper and his wife, Stephanie and their children, Noah, Elizabeth, Andrew and Stephan Harper; two step sons, Ricky Glover and John Glover and family; and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
She came from and married into a large family. Family was the most important thing to her. She was proud to be raised in a Christian home and strove to install Christian values into her own family.
Virginia was a graduate of Greenfield High School. She was employed by the Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, Kansas for several years. She then worked for Butternut Bread and retired after 20 years of service. She was a founding member of the Southwest Missouri Arthritis Association and a longtime member of Ruth Chapter #177, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Iron Gates Christian Church, Joplin.
Services are planned for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olive Church, North, Missouri. Larry Wheeler will officiate. Interment will follow immediately after at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harlan Campbell, Brad Campbell, Kerry Montgomery, Scott Montgomery, Darrell Dodd, Wesley Dodd, Josh Harper and Michael Wetherell. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Wetherell and Josh Harper. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Missouri Arthritis Foundation, or to the American Cancer Society, in care of Parker Mortuary.

Johnny Dehr

Johnny Lee Dehr, 65, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Promise Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, KS.
Johnny was born February 23, 1948 in Amarillo, TX, to Bert and Violet Moore Dehr. He was a CNC operator for machine manufacturing. Johnny married Laura Chance on November 26, 1965 in Garden City, KS.
Surviving are his wife, Laura, Inman, KS and a daughter, Tracy Reeder, Joplin, MO.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home & Crematory.
Eloise Carr

Eloise Carr, age 83, formerly of Joplin, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on June 5th, 1930 in Richey, Missouri, the daughter of the late Nora and William Allen Curtis.
Eloise resided in Baxter Springs, Kansas for 35 years where she was a faithful member of the Baxter Springs Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Baxter Springs Country Club and Joplin Golf Club at Schifferdecker, where she played golf for many years. In addition, she was a lifelong member of the Joplin Woman’s Club and played bridge as often as she could. After moving to Joplin, she became a member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Eloise married Robert H. Carr on March 25, 1956 in Galena, Kansas and supported him in his many business ventures during their 52 year marriage. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. The family takes comfort in knowing that they will once again be re-united under God’s loving care.
“Ellie” will always be remembered as wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and leaves behind a daughter, Saundra L. Carr and partner Stan Cooper of Seneca; one son, Robert H. Carr II and his wife Kimberly of Rogers; three grandchildren, Caleb Carr, Taylor Carr, and Gracie Carr; siblings, Bill Curtis and wife Rusty, Lewiston, Idaho; Jim Curtis and wife, Inga, Lostine, Idaho; Carl Curtis and wife Margaret, Pocatello, Idaho; Cathy Huddleston, Meridian, Idaho; Jane Curtis, Boise, Idaho; and Grace Plant and her husband Al, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Neil Curtis.
Services are planned for Friday at 2:00pm at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Joplin. Entombment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary in Joplin.

Dwight Stanley

Dwight James Stanley, Sr., age 56 of Carterville passed away on Sunday November 17, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin after a sudden illness.
He was born on February 27, 1957 in Joplin, Missouri to Lincoln Stanley and Nelva Gibson Stanley. Dwight was a contractor in the construction business for most of his life. He loved to spend time with his family and was a great friend to anyone he knew. Dwight had an open door policy at this house and would help anyone he could to the best of his ability. He will be remember as a man with a huge heart.
Dwight is survived by his daughters, Britni Stanley and fiancé Tony Vickers of Webb City, Stephanie Stanley of Webb City, Tiffany Stanley of Carthage; sons, Dwight Stanley, Jr. of Granby, Shawn Wright of Joplin; brothers, Doyle Stanley and wife Carol of Riverton, Kansas, David Stanley of Joplin; sister, Sue Bertrand and husband Mike of Carterville; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Carterville Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of normal floral remembrances donations may be made to the family for his final expenses.
