Barbara Dawn McCloud, 61, of Carthage, Missouri passed away on September 28, 2015 in Joplin, Missouri.
Barbara was born on June 14, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas, to Floyd Horn and Marilyn Opperund. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was the Webb City Middle School Nurse from 2010-2011.
Barbara was united in marriage to William “Bill” McCloud on May 8, 1976 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2009. Barbara is survived by five daughters, Jennifer Huston and husband Justin of Carthage, Missouri, Melodie Shellenbarger and husband Dan of Carthage, Missouri, Susan Day and husband John of Carthage, Missouri, Venice Constable and husband Daniel of Parsons, Kansas and Valerie Barry and husband Rusty of Mayfield, Kansas 3 brothers Chris Horn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mark Crouch of the state of Colorado, and Mike Crouch of the state of Washington, 3 sisters Sharon Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rebecca Horn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jeane Horn, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Michael Horn, one sister Wanda McClure, and one daughter LeAnne McCloud.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
