Charles Edward 'Chuck' Tracy, Jr., age 88, Pittsburg, Kansas, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Medicalodges Pittsburg South.
Charles was born January 17, 1927 in Treece, Kansas to the late C.E. Tracy, Sr. and Imogene Railey Tracy and had lived in Joplin most of his life before moving to Pittsburg, Kansas.
He owned and operated Tracy's Style Salon in Joplin for over 50 years, retiring in 1999.
Charles is survived by a sister, Cheryl R. Ricks, Pittsburg; two brothers, Ron Tracy and his wife, Opal, Joplin, Gene Tracy, Joplin; and nieces and nephews, Rhonda Ricks, Joplin, Laura Nicholson and husband, Drew, Lombard, Illinois, Debbie Chenoweth and husband, Terry, Carl Junction, Sandy Conlee and husband, Gary, Webb City, Tonna Thomas and husband, Tom, Joplin, Bob Tracy and wife, Lynette, Riverton, Kansas, and Terry Tracy and wife, Lin, Joplin.
Graveside services are planned for Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Hornet Cemetery. Dennis Uchtman will officiate. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Kansas Humane Society, P.O. Box 783, Pittsburg, Kansas, 66762.
