Marcus Huff

Mr. Marcus L. Huff, 68, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, departed this life Wednesday evening, September 23, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri after a sudden illness.

Marcus entered this life on January 8, 1947, in Electra, Texas to the union of the late Clarence “Buddy” and Betty (Mullins) Huff. He was a graduate of Electra High School. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Army. Marcus was a job superintendent in the construction industry for many years. On July 2, 1994, in Sarcoxie Missouri he and Sharon were united in marriage at the home where they shared twenty-one years. He enjoyed fishing, dominoes and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Risen Ranch Cowboy Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Gay Huff.

Marcus is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; two daughters, Shanna Miller and husband Brad and Nicole Moore and husband Terry, all of Midlothian, Texas; two step-sons, Ed Lowe and wife D.D. of Burleson, Texas and Kent Lowe of Sedalia, Missouri; grandchildren, Chandler Miller, Carter Miller, Braylee Moore, Brycen Detavernier, Jadon Lowe, Seth Lowe and Alyssa Lowe; one brother, Joe Huff and wife Jodi of San Antonio, Texas; mother in law, Dorothy Yoder; sister in law, Teresa Spicer and husband Mike; several nephews and nieces as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services with full military honors for Mr. Huff  were held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Risen Ranch Cowboy Church, Carthage, Missouri with Pastors Steve Stafford and Ed Lowe officiating. Those honoring his life as pallbearers were Larry Triplett, Don Chandler, Gail Turner, Mike Turner, Russ Ogle and Felix Wright. Honorary pallbearers are Roy Ogle, Kenny Gordon, Jack Galardo, Rhonda Galardo, Jacki Kores, Henri Kores, Darrel Ball, Lana Ball, Gerald Pennington and Melissa Pennington.

The family has requested memorial contributions be directed to Risen Ranch Cowboy Church building fund.
