Alla Barnes

Alla G. Barnes age 89 of Webb City passed away on Thursday, February 08, 2018 at Spring River Christian Village. 

 She was born on July 18, 1928 in Humboldt, Minnesota to George and Annie Clow. Alla had many jobs through the years. She was a meter maid for the police department in South Dakota, she worked for the Webb City American Legion for 17 years, she retired from Motorola where she was in quality control, and the one she will most be remembered for was being and excellent housewife for her family. Alla was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Webb City, Freeman Advantage, The Red Hats, and also the Joplin Singles Club. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Webb City. 

 Alla married Charles L. Barnes on February 2, 1962 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1998. She is survived by her daughters, Haley Pryor and significant other Kenny Rogers of Joplin, Charolett Johnson of Kansas City, Missouri, Donna Bowers and significant other Eddie Hardin of Ladonia, Texas; a son, Michael Larson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. 

 Alla has requested to be cremated and there will be a memorial service held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. She will be buried next to her husband at Mount Hope Cemetery.
