Charles A. ‘Tony’ Weems, 40, of Neosho, entered into rest on Feb. 11, 2018 at his home, following a sudden illness.
Tony was born Sept. 11, 1977 in Joplin, the son of Charles R. and Anita (Carter) Weems. He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1996. He was employed at La Z Boy as a cell team leader and also at Westco in Neosho. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman and an avid supporter of his daughters' activities. Tony was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Chelsea Weems of Springfield and Ashley Weems of Neosho; his mother, Anita Cupps and husband, Billy of Neosho; his father, Charles Weems of Neosho; paternal grandmother, Rayleen Weems of Joplin one sister, Andrea Simek and husband, Lenny of Boonville; two nieces, Siena and Gabby Simek; one nephew, Kellen Simek; two step sisters, Jamie Chastain and husband, Jeramie and Nikki Burks and husband, Troy all of Neosho and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ray Weems and maternal grandparents, Bill and Twilla Carter.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at 1 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Buddy Funk officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Stella. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Neosho.
