Ruth Fletcher

Mrs. Shirley Ruth Fletcher, 77, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Friday morning, February 2, 2018, in the comfort of her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ruth entered this life on December 31, 1940, in Tiff City, Missouri, daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Arnett) Ledford. She was a lifelong area resident. Besides being a homemaker, Ruth worked nearly twenty years at the Tiff City Store. She enjoyed cooking, tending to the needs of her home, spending time with her family and church gatherings. She was a faithful member of Buffalo Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Louise, Norma and Lewis; and a great grandson, Tanner Quinn.

On November 13, 1993, she was united in marriage to Wilbert Fletcher and he survives of the home. Additional survivors include her five children, Leona Lee and husband, Ed, of Aurora, Missouri, Bonnie McDaniel of Seneca, Missouri, Dannie McLaughlin and wife, Annetta, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Darrin Campbell and wife, Cheri, of Anderson, Missouri and Shelly Webb of Little Rock, Arkansas; two stepsons, Leon Fletcher and wife, Bobbie, of Bentonville, Arkansas and Brian Fletcher and wife, Christy, of Neosho, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren (awaiting the arrival of another great granddaughter due in late February); one great-great grandson; seven step-grandchildren; eleven step-great grandchildren (and one more on the way); two sisters, Bertha Dohle and husband, Fred, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Barbara Sutton of Camden, Missouri; a brother, Johnnie Ledford, and wife, Carol, of Tehachapi, California; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fletcher are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Buffalo Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Jared Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in the Cummings Cemetery in Tiff City, Missouri. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Brandyn McDaniel, Joshua McLaughlin, Kilyn Nutting, Reilly McLaughlin, Pryce McDaniel and Jared Campbell. Alexander Campbell, Kaden Michael and Caleb Campbell serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
