Dale Eugene Raney, age 70, of Joplin, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
He was born in Berkeley, California to the late Vansile Raney and Zelma Jennings Raney.
Dale worked as an over the road truck driver after serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.
He married Twyla Boydston on July 24, 1980 in Miami, Oklahoma; she preceded him death on September 5, 2011.
Survivors include two sons, Jay Whitenberg, wife, Kelli, Joplin, and Scott Whitenberg, Woodland Park, Colorado; one grandson, Austin Whitenberg, Joplin; two granddaughters, Stephanie Straw, Joplin, and Katie Whitenberg, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and one great-grandson, Knox Williamson.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, at Parker Mortuary with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating. Internment will take place at a later date at Benjamin Cemetery in Bates County, Missouri.
Service arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin.
