Bertha Francis Cornell, 95, of Rogers died December 9th, 2019 in Rogers, AR. She was born February 13th, 1924 in Fayetteville, AR, the daughter of Newton and Mattie Ward. She worked at Jumping Jack Shoe Factory in MO until she retired. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Bentonville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her loving husbands Pete Cornell and Herbert Luther Johnston, her father and mother, her two brothers Elmer Ward of Springfield, IL and Alvin Ward of Pea Ridge, AR, and her two sisters Opal Hubbard of Cave Springs, AR and Loretta Etheridge of Bentonville, AR.
Bertha is survived by her daughter Lynda and husband Greg Doty of Rogers, AR, two grandsons; Terry Lane and wife Cheryl Doty and Brian Allan and wife Brandy Doty of Rogers, AR, six great grandchildren; Crystal Lynn Woodham, Sierra Dawn Doty, Jeffery Scott Doty, Brandon Jay Doty, Jason Alan Doty, and Darren Allan Doty of Rogers, AR, and 3 great great grandchildren; Jane and Bentley Doty of Rogers, AR and Leah Doty of Neosho, MO
Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral service will be officated by Pastor Josh Bundy.
