Cleyta Jean Whelchel 75 of Rogers passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 27, 2019 in Rogers. She was born July 23, 1944 in Gorman, Texas the daughter of Gilbert and Cleo Williams Craig.
Cleyta worked in accounting, she also was a member of the Rogers Garden Club and enjoyed Bowling, arts and crafts and gardening.
She is survived by her children Tracy Whelchel of Rogers; Glynis Allen of Joplin, Missouri and Les Whelchel of Hindsville; two brothers John Craig of Cave Springs and Wallace Craig of Lowell; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 31, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
