Reid Johnson

Reid Johnson was born on May 9, 2007 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Bryan N. and Lindsay D. (Steele) Johnson. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the age of 12 years, 6 months and 29 days.

Reid was a lifelong Granby resident and currently a seventh grade student at Granby Elementary. He was a spelling bee champion and enjoyed participating in school activities, playing football, track and played the alto sax in the band. He loved to act out characters, quote movie lines and share quirky jokes. He liked to fly and travel with his family and he loved the special time they spent together. 

He was baptized on July 3, 2016 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Neosho. 

Reid is survived by his parents, Bryan and Lindsay Johnson; two brothers, Koen and Camden Johnson; maternal grandparents, Nema and Bret Nyander of Livingston, Texas; Mike and Ruthie Steele of Neosho; paternal grandparents, Kevin and Cheri Johnson of Granby; four uncles, Reece Steele of Fairview; Seth and Delisa Johnson of Stark City; Dusty and Sarah of St. Louis and Aaron and Toni Johnson of Marionville, Missouri; cousins, Boone, Grady, Ryker, Addy, Natalie and Rachel and numerous friends. 

He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Jim DeSpain, Sr.; Shirley DeSpain and Richard and Janice Steele; Aunt Pam and paternal great grandparents, Bob and Donabelle Johnson and Carroll and June Carney.
