Maxine Gillespie

Maxine Kellison Gillespie, 85, Diamond, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2019. She was born August 4, 1934 in Diamond, MO to Clyde and Laura (Mathis) Gillmore.

Maxine had worked as a teacher’s aide in the Diamond School District and was a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church in Diamond. She had been a caregiver for her parents and her husbands. She enjoyed traveling; loved her family; and loved her Lord Jesus dearly. 

Maxine married Robert Gillespie on February 3, 2003 in Miami, OK; he survives. 








She is also survived by three children, Annette Henderson and husband, Stan of Webb City, MO, Nannette Powell and husband, Robert of Lee Summit, MO, and Ray Kellison of Joplin, MO; one brother, C.G. Gillmore and wife, Coarl Lee of Duenweg, MO; one sister, Sheilah Brumfield of Diamond, MO; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. 

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Ronald Kellison and Ernie Morgan; one son, George Kellison; and one sister, Clydabelle Gillmore. 

Visitation will be 5:00 – 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Friday, January 3, 2020 at Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, Diamond with Pastor Phil Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Diamond Cemetery, Diamond.
