Carl Timm

Retired Army Major Carl Albert Timm, III of Joplin, MO. passed away on December 13th, 2019, comforted by his family, who loved and adored him.

Carl was born on July 27th, 1946 in Janesville, Wisconsin to Carl Timm, Jr. and Jane Simenson Timm. He was the second child of four children.

Carl was a graduate of Janesville Senior High School in 1965. He lettered in swimming, his senior year and received a scholarship. He then attended one year, 1966, at Wisconsin State University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. 

Carl in the year of 1967 enlisted in the U.S. Army of America. He was in the U.S. Army School/Training Center in Fort Gordon, GA., Company D, First Battalion, First Brigade. In June of 1967, he reported to the U.S. Army Quartermaster School in Fort Lee, Virginia, for Company B, 1st Battalion, Officer Candidate Brigade, where he achieved the rank of Major Carl Timm, III. His military career took him to Vietnam, Germany, Okinawa, and eventually back to Fort Lee, Virginia. Stateside, he continued his military career in the National Guard.

Carl was a man of many talents, working in food service, construction, & management positions. His last career started in 1986 with Elm Acres in Pittsburg, Kansas until he retired in 2014 as the Chief Financial Officer.

Carl was united in marriage to Dana when they eloped to the Little Bell Chapel in Harrison, Arkansas on February 14th, 1998. She survives.








Carl is survived by one son, Carl Timm, IV (Erin) of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Staci Tucker (Dan) of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; four stepdaughters, Marady Murphy (Rob) of Neosho, MO., Calli Michael of Joplin, MO., Ragon Evans (Brian) of Joplin, MO., and Shae Wade (Jesse) of Carl Junction, MO.; one sister, Pam Miller (Mark) of Bakersville, North Carolina; nineteen grandchildren, Ryon Tucker, Jacob Tucker, Tyler Tucker, Stephen Tucker, Willa Timm, Maude Timm, Michael Muncy, Landon Bray, Savannah Gates, Channing Crockett, Maggie McGinnis, Gaige Crockett, Lakyn Evans, Liam Evans, Brooklyn Meyer, Peyton Meyer, Evalyn Wade, Joelayna Wade, and Greenly Wade; three great grandchildren, Lyla Tucker, Julia Tucker, and Kingston Wilson; and an aunt and cousins in the Janesville, Wisconsin area.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Baby Timm, his younger brother, Norman Timm, and a stepson, Trevor Crockett.

Carl had many friends and was a kind, generous, and loving man. He was very good to his family, and we know he is in heaven helping all of us grieve his passing. This die hard Green Bay Packer fan will now have a front row seat at the games!!

A service to celebrate Carl’s life will take place in the upcoming months.

Society.

His wish was to be cremated. Arrangements are under the care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO
