(From Simpson Funeral Home)Michael J. Hoffman age 66 of Webb City, Missouri passed away January 31, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after a short illness. He was born on February 19, 1954 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Fred Hoffman, Jr. and Ethel (Thornton) Hoffman.
They moved to Webb City in 1959 where Mike attended Webb City Schools and was on the first Cardinal wrestling team at the 98-pound weight class.
Mike worked construction his entire life working for R.D. Dale Construction until his retirement in 2007. He was a long-time member of the Webb City Elks.
He is survived by two brothers, Greg Hoffman of Gass, Kansas; Jerry Hoffman and wife Tammy of Webb City; a stepson, Patrick Felker of Webb City; along with several nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family members.
Mike’s wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
