(From Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home)Stanley G. “Stan” Beachner, 64, of Joplin and formerly of Galesburg, passed away the morning of Friday, May 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and children, at his home, following a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Stanley Gale Beachner was born on April 17, 1960, to Robert T. and Emma (Brooks) Beachner in Parsons, Kansas. He grew up and attended school in St. Paul, graduating from St. Paul High School in 1978. Following high school, he attended Kansas State University for a time.
He worked for Beachner Construction Company of St. Paul as a road supervisor for several years. From 1998 to 2010, Stan owned and operated SGB Construction. He worked as a road/bridge supervisor for Neosho County until 2014. For four years, Stan was a coast-to-coast truck driver, until retiring due to ill health.
He attended the Galesburg Christian Church and attended the Christian church in Joplin after moving there.
The light of Stan’s life was his wife, children and grandchildren. He never missed one of their games and enjoyed going on family trips. An outdoorsman, Stan loved to fish, camp, sit by the campfire and smoke meats. He started each day with a cup of coffee and loved his dog, his best friend, Jax. Stan was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed following Kansas State sports.
On November 30, 2000, Stan married the love of his life. Stan and Kelly Marie Mayfield were united in marriage at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives of the home.

Six grandchildren – Anthony, Aubrey, Addison, Ashlyn, Iziah, and Dominque
Two great-grandchildren – Grahm and Natalie
Three brothers – Bob Beachner (Patty) of St. Paul, Kansas
Randy Beachner (Debbie) of Erie, Kansas
Terry Beachner (Angie) of Walnut, Kansas
Two sisters – Debbie Mattox of St. Paul, Kansas
Becky Beachner of Erie, Kansas
In-laws – Paige and Christine Mayfield of Galesburg, Kansas
Brother-in-law – Terry Mayfield of Parsons, Kansas
Sister-in-law – Dava Blake (Lindsey) of Parsons, Kansas
Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Stacie Beachner; and one nephew, Brayden Beachner.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2024, at Galesburg Chrisitan Church in Galesburg. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Galesburg. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons. The family will receive friends following the rosary.
