Betty J. Eads, age 81 of Seneca, Mo. passed away early Wednesday December 23, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
Betty was born on December 25, 1933 in Picher, Ok., the daughter of Leslie “Tub” and Bonnie (Scott) Tanner. She has been a lifetime area resident, moving to Seneca in 1956. Betty worked at Kraft Foods, she also worked at Tanner's IGA as a general manager, Gene’s Cardinal Food Store and Eagle Picher. She was a member of Seneca Christian Church and of Cherokee Nation West.
She married Roy Eads, Jr. on January 11, 1952, he preceded her in death in 2006. Betty was also preceded by her parents and 2 brothers, Leslie Tanner, Jr. and L.T. Tanner Jr. She is survived by 4 sons, L.V. Eads, Sr. and wife Nancy of Seneca, Ernie Eads and wife Debra of Seneca., Dennis Eads and wife Stacy of Seneca, and Donald Eads of Seneca; 1 daughter, Deborah Eads of Seneca; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Seneca Christian Church. Burial will follow at Seneca Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Seneca Christian Church during a time of visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
