Evelyn Funk, Age 88, of Joplin, MO. passed away at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday at her home in Joplin.
Evelyn was born January 12, 2015 in Denver, Mo. She had lived in Joplin since 1952. She was employed with the former Pacific-Mercury Co. She was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church near Denver, Mo.
She married Clifford Funk December 13, 1945 in Troy, MO. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Angel Kelso. Survivors include a son, Charles Funk, Joplin, four daughters, Janette Funk and Tina Hall, both of Joplin, Jeanette Trent and husband Gary, Broken Arrow, OK, and Cheryl McCully, Miami, OK, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Evelyn’s wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life service will be held in January at her home. Her cremains will be buried at the Foster Cemetery in New Hampton, MO. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, MO.
